I went to see his gallery set up on Lincoln Road Miami. So landscape is my thing. Its what I love and aspire to. The images were amazing and the printing even more interesting. Large images hang on the wall so large that you feel you are in the place you are looking at. The prints have a light and a colour that seems so real it is hard to beleive. I was very curious as to how they are printed. I have since found out tht they are printed on Kodak Metallic Paper and between two sheets of plexiglass to keep them perfectly straight.
While we were in the gallery there were two new images of Peter liks on display in two seperate rooms. We were brought in to unveil this shot and sat down on a sofa while the sales person dimmed the lights what happen was a shot of a river and its reflections as the lights dim the light changed. It was like watching as the sun set on a real scene. You felt as if you were sitting on the bank of the river watching the sun set.
It was explained to us that they were particular chemical used to create this effect I know now more. However his galleries are definitely worth a visit.
Heres one shot for the post but cannot do justice to what you will see in a gallery.
