Tillsmans work is very much intimate photography what I have copied below from his site is examples of how is presents his work in galleries. I am interested in how this can improve our viewing experience. Do we want art to be looked at in a particular order. What will catch our eye. How to give a sense of emotion while we are looking at art. How to make us look at a particular image first and then perhaps contrast it with a completely opposing image. How to make us look closely and pull us in to an intimate image that perhaps otherwise we would be embarrassed to examine closely. His presentation adds a whole other level to the experience of photography where event he presentation itself is art.
