In the image above the strongest vector is in fact the eye direction of our subject. The light stand which takes us up and down onto the persons head is also quite a strong line I feel finally the subjects hands takes us back to his eye line.
From some of my photos. I have looked through to find implied lines. I believe here that the girl walking in front on an old building, caused the girl walking to be in the right position to create a sense of movement and it encourages the viewer to look at the building, and the direction in which she is walking. Her walking brings us along the image to the right however her eyes looking up make us look at the building as we would if we were walking past it. Basically by looking at the image we mimic what this gris has done in real life. It brings us into the iamge.
For the parade of the three Kings in Barcelona instinct has told me to take this photo in this way where the light seems to point at the street artist.
With the food image. I wanted to create a sense of movement of a plate that was created by this Chef. The implied lines seem to go from his hands or utensils to the plate and back. The main focus is the plate and so I feel it is an effective image.
