Above is another link advised by my tutor with advise on how to put together a narrative. Its a little more food for thought as to how to put together a story.
The idea we are trying to put across it is informative or are we trying to sway the opinion of who looks at our image. Are we trying to portray something which has just happened or about to happen is there tension in the image. How do we portray this in an image. We have looked at the simple image of something just happened in our exercises building up to assignment 5. Are we celebrating beauty or ugliness. Pictures can have a sequence.
If there are people involved are we trying to portray their character. Are there clothes or props which are being used that we need to show in order to tell the story.
Mood and atmosphere are we portraying humour, something commercial, a dangerous situation.
Scene setting, a background consider this have we shown it correctly.
Can each picture stand alone or must it be seen with the others. The use of contrast in images to keep our interest. Tone, light the dynamics do we want movement. Near and far simplicity or complexity. The more variety the more interesting the story will be.
There is one story which caught my attention while looking at the internet the tone is serious they are warning of illegal whale shark fishing in China and how this if it continues will lead to the extinction of this mammal. The images are to the point in order to facilitate the story.
